Notes from Snetterton 9/10 October, Brands in November and Awards Night in January… read on.
We were so pleased to see that most drivers managed to get enough fuel to get to Snetterton for the race meeting last weekend and to compete. During the weekend a few points were raised. The scrutineers were taking a more active role, which unfortunately caught out a few people. Remember it is your responsibility to ensure your car complies, particularly with regard to safety, and there vare frequent spot-checks by scrutineers. Everyone is fully aware about the incidents which have occurred this year and hopefully there will be no more. Nevertheless it was pleasing to see fellow competitors assisting those who needed a fire extinguisher for instance.

Brands Hatch – 14th November
Our final meeting of the year will see all three categories at Brands Hatch on Sunday November 14th. Again there will be live YouTube broadcast for all of our races. Following this event we will calculate the amount of rebate, so most of our drivers will be getting something back.
Classic & Modern Motosport Club Southern Awards Night 15th January 2022We are delighted to invite you to the club’s awards night on Saturday January 15th at the Mercure Hotel Brands Hatch. Continuing with this good news, the committee has decided to offer a special ticket price of just £15 each for our fully-registered drivers and their partner for the awards night. Other guests will pay £35, which means they are paying exactly the same as two years ago. We feel it is important to share the success of the club with the drivers who have supported us. We have negotiated the following special room rates:
£80 room only (double room)
£95 bed & breakfast (double room, single occupancy)
£105 bed & breakfast (double room, double occupancy)
There is a rally at Brands Hatch during the day, if you need a motorsport fix, plus our AGM will take place at around 4PM. The rally will be round 4 of the MSN Circuit Rally Championship as well as featuring in other championships. The event uses the Indy circuit, plus rallyschool, pitlane and both paddocks. As cars run multiple laps, it’s an action packed day out with catering and commentary too. Details of advance ticket sales nearer to the event.
