The CMMCS is putting together the calendar for 2022. We are actively looking at a new venue, plus a return to somewhere we have not been to for a long time. As usual we are trying to get the best deals we can on track time and one thought is to change the rebate scheme. The proposal is to make the initial entry fee a fair bit cheaper (to encourage drivers to enter early). This will certainly help if we can get a realistic entry list when planning paddock space and where we fit into a timetable. It gives us a bit more bargaining power.
We do not foresee any major changes to our three categories, but remember to thoroughly check the MS UK blue book for 2022, in particular with regard to fire extinguishers. Check that your seat belts will still be in date. We have spoken to our race clerks and scrutineers and they have made a couple of minor suggestions, just to clarify technical points or anomalies.
With the intermarque silhouettes we have had a proposal from another manufacturer to allow their sequential gearbox with a fixed set of ratios and one differential ratio. Details will be circulated to all competitors on or prior to November 14th. We are also looking at raceceiver type radios, but are keen to obtain the best possible price. We will need extra personnel and hope to have a couple of people coming along to the Brands Hatch meeting to see what they can offer.
In the meantime we would like to sincerely thank all our sponsors for their support this year and look forward to seeing them all at the awards night.
