You may have seen MSUK are proposing some regulation changes for 2025, they are outlined below.
Both of these changes will have a huge impact on the club, and club racing in general.
As a club we have registered our opposition to these potential changes, and we would encourage you, as drivers, to also voice your opposition.
We have included a handy template you may wish to use, and send to raceconsultation@motorsportuk.
MSUK,
Regarding your proposed rule changes: “Action-Sheet-Q11.3.1” Please advise
me of your reasoning for this proposal. I can’t see a need for it and
strongly object to it as it will just add unnecessary costs, especially to
‘Clubman’ racers. It would render dashboards illegal and most types of in
car cameras. These cameras are often used by race clerks to determine the
outcome of an incident.
With regard to ‘Action-Sheet-Q6.2.2’, again I don’t see your reasoning is
justified and I therefore object to it. A series takes away the
ultra-competitive nature of a championship and allows drivers to take a more
relaxed attitude, with less “red tape” regulations.
Yours sincerely,
